Mel & Ellen came up Friday to visit and attend the Sidewalk Film Festival in downtown Birmingham. Lawson and I were driving up from Berry Friday evening, and met them and Dave at the Fish Market for a great dinner before their show at the Alabama Theatre. They said the show they went to see was great!
It's actually a funny story... have you ever heard of a movie called Troll II? It was made in 1989, and is apparently known as "the worst movie ever made." It just so happens the star of the movie is Mel & Ellen's DENTIST in Alexander City (and former (male) Auburn cheerleader)! The movie has had a cult following all these years, and recently a documentary was made about the movie. The documentary debuted at the film festival, so they went to support their friend, George. Dave went too, and they said it was hilarious! They all just raved about it! They said the Alabama Theatre was completely full with about 1000 people there. Anyway, Saturday morning, we watched Lawson play outside in the backyard, and then went to lunch at Chik-fil-A so Lawson could play in the jungle gym. It was a very rainy Saturday afternoon, so we were there about 2 hours! We had a great visit. Lawson adores his grandparents!
