We took Lawson for his 1 year check-up yesterday, and he got 4 shots. He screamed the loudest he ever has (like a poor wounded animal!), but he got over it after a few minutes - but continued to sniffle a while longer! Our new doctor, Dr. Huie at Mayfair Pediatrics, responded quickly when I told him about Lawson's allegeries. He recommended we see a pediatric allergy specialist at St. Vincent's. Also, as expected, he told us to wean Law off the bottle. I think Law is ready now, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. He said he was drinking way too much milk (says he only needs about 16oz/day) and that was probably one reason he wasn't taking to table food as much as we'd like. Although, he said we had until 18 months to make the transition completely off baby food. He has only gained about 2 pounds since our last visit, but since he was an early walker (and runner!), that's somewhat expected. Here's his stats:
Height: 31 inches (75% percentile)
Weight: 21lb, 4oz (20% percentile)
So... tall and skinny.

It's great to hear Lawson is developing and growing right on track. It will be a relief I think once you take him to the allergy pediatrician and have a better idea as to what he may or may not be allergic to.
Sippy cups are great! You and Dave will be tickled at how much easier the cups are.
Missing my sweet baby boy but I got to love on Emma, Abby and JB3 today.
