Mom and Dad go to Washington

My mom and dad came up to visit Washington recently. We really enjoyed having them here -- especially Lawson. He loves it when there is a crowd around. Mom's cousin Jane Penry and her husband Walter drove up with them. Their son is a lobbyist and lives in Alexandria. It was great to have such a large family gathering so far from home.

On the first day, we decided to take a bus tour of the city.

We decided to go with one of those, double decker, open-air buses because the weather has finally gotten nice up here. The first one we got on wasn't as glamorous as advertised.

The next one was better. Here you can see our reflection in a building. We are on the top level. You can see mom in the red jacket holding Lawson.

Somewhere in DC.

Lawson loves his grandparents.

At the conclusion of the tour at Arlington National Cemetary. Even though the cherry blossoms have already peaked and passed, there are still a lot of flowering trees in the area.

Dave, your posts are always fun to read! Looks like everyone had a great time and Lawson got a lot of attention.

Awwww, Lawson is just too cute. I am just amazed at how much Lawson has changed recently. He is starting to look like a toddler.
