It's Official!!

We're selling the loft! Dave and I have a completed contract agreement to sell and close on the loft in December!

We had been planning to put the loft on the market in the spring, but a neighbor asked us a couple of weeks ago if we would be interested in showing the place to some friends who were looking for a place downtown. Of course, we said yes, and we (mostly Dave) put a ton of work into getting the house ready to show within 5 days. We got a storage unit and put all excess stuff in there to "de-clutter" as they say on "Sell This House!" We cleaned and even put out flowers. It was well worth it because the couple made us an offer shortly thereafter! We've been working on finalizing the details of the contract for the past couple of weeks, and today we got everything finalized.

Now, we just have to get through the home inspection, find a new home and I suppose a new name for our blog! The buyers are giving us until mid-January to vacate, so we're looking in Vestavia Hills, Oak Mountain, and Ross Bridge right now.

It will very much be a bittersweet moment to leave the home that Dave and I moved into after we were first married, the home Dave and his Dad worked for weeks building 2 new bedrooms and closet, and the home we brought Lawson into from the hospital. We know we need to move into a better school district though, so please think about us as we're looking for a new home for our family.
